The Erasmus+ is the European Union (EU) program for the period 2014-2020 to support education, training, youth and sport in all sectors of lifelong learning, including Higher Education, Vocational Training, Adult Education, School Education, Youth Activities and Training in the filed amateur Sports.
IINFACTS researchers are engaged in a broad public-oriented activity of socio-economic and cultural relevance. These include:
i) Economic and social valorization of knowledge: the unit set up, the Knowledge Transfer Office (BTC-Balcão de Transferência de Conhecimentos).
ii) Health education and promotion: public awareness and knowledge of dental/oral practices and diseases (hygiene, cancer, periodontitis, caries); psychosocial health and needs (detection and report of child abuse and neglect cases); promotion of health knowledge, behavior and practices, particularly among school children; therapeutic drug monitoring; training of health professionals; education of patients; scientific journeys to engage the public with scientific evidence.

A CESPU através da Escola Superior de Saúde do Vale do Sousa, Pólo IINFACTS - Penafiel, associou-se uma vez mais ao projeto do Museu Municipal de Penafiel - 5 Salas. 5 Filmes e, vai dar início a um novo ciclo de cinema dedicado à área da saúde. 5 Filmes. Saúde. Com início hoje, 12 de abril e até outubro de 2018 serão exibidos filmes, cujo enredo se integra na área da saúde. No final de cada sessão, um grupo de especialistas debaterá o tema do filme e o seu impacto na saúde das populações.

O IoGeneration – Estado do iodo em Portugal: papel da suplementação em unidades escolares é um projeto destinado a quantificar a iodúria em crianças do 1º ciclo do ensino básico e quantificar os níveis de iodo no sal em uso nas escolas e nos domicílios, assim como formar os profissionais dos serviços alimentares quanto ao uso do sal iodado e informar a comunidade sobre o papel do iodo na alimentação, enfatizando o seu papel no neurodesenvolvimento.
